High-speed trains are enjoyable to travel. There are new terminals for high-speed trains which look much more like an airport than a train station, from the security screening to boarding. We had 12 mins time from one train arrival to another train departure in Hefei , and since these trains are punctual, we had enough time to arrive and get from one platform to another on time. This was all possible because we booked all our travel well ahead of time by using ctrip.com online booking.
At the foot of the mountain in Huangshan Bei, we packed our backpacks we will need for the next two days, including rain coats and warm clothing and some ramen noodle soups, and left the remaining luggage at the left luggage lockers. From here, we took a bus to Tangkou, a shuttle bus to Jungu cable car, and finally the cable car to the mountain summit to our hotel.
We traveled through some very beautiful landscapes in Anhui while it was heavily raining. A typhoon hit this area from Taiwan today, and many plains and high-speed trains were canceled. Luckily, none of our connections were affected, but when we arrived to the mountain, it was raining and cloudy.
I made some new friends - Kelly from Shanghai.
